Automatic Shrink Wrappers
An automatic shrink wrapper keeps your line running flat-out, sealing and shrinking every pack continuously without an operator loading each cycle. It’s built for high-volume production and backed by AWC’s local technical team, manufacturer warranty, and finance or rental terms to suit your budget.

About AWC Automatic Shrink Wrappers
An automatic shrink wrapper seals and shrinks film around a product continuously, without an operator loading and triggering each individual cycle. Product feeds in — usually straight off a conveyor from upstream packing or filling equipment — and the machine seals, and in most cases shrinks, pack after pack at a constant rate. That’s the key difference from a semi-automatic machine like our L-bar sealers: this range is built to run flat-out on a production line, not to be operated pack-by-pack.
This range covers two different sealing methods. The Smipack FP6000CS and FP8000CS are automatic L-bar sealers with a motorised centre-seal system and shrink tunnel — the same L-shaped cut-and-seal motion as our semi-automatic FP560A/FP870A, but running continuously and unattended. The Smipack HS500, HS700, and HS800 series are continuous-motion side sealers, where the film is sealed along one side as the pack moves through on a constant-motion sealing bar — a different, typically faster, mechanism suited to high-volume single items and multi-packs.
Seal bar / seal length sets the largest pack footprint each machine can handle in one pass. It runs from a 510 x 640mm seal bar on the FP6000CS up to a 710 x 840mm seal bar on the FP8000CS, and from a 500mm seal length on the HS500 up to 820mm on the HS800.
Maximum pack height is the other hard constraint, since the product has to clear the sealing bar and film fold. It spans 200mm on the more compact models up to 350mm on the HS800 and HS800 Servo.
On output, this range runs from 50 packs/min on the FP6000CS and FP8000CS up to 120 packs/min on the HS500 Servo. The Servo variants (HS500 Servo, HS800 Servo) use a brushless servomotor to drive the sealing bar, which gives a faster, more precise cycle than the standard HS500/HS700/HS800 — worth the step up if your line is running at volume.
On power, every machine in this range runs on a 415V three-phase supply, unlike our lower-throughput semi-automatic and hood shrink wrapping machines — worth checking against your site’s available power before committing to a fully automatic line.
If your volumes don’t justify a fully automatic line, or your loads are less uniform than these machines are built for, it’s worth comparing L-bar sealers, hood shrink wrappers, and compact shrink wrappers before deciding which type suits your operation.
Every machine on this page is backed by our in-house technical team for installation, servicing, and spare parts — so you’re not left waiting on an overseas manufacturer if something needs attention.

Automatic Shrink Wrapper FAQs
A fully automatic shrink wrapper seals (and in most cases shrinks) pack after pack continuously, without an operator loading or triggering each cycle — product typically feeds in straight off a conveyor from upstream equipment. That’s different from a semi-automatic machine like our L-bar sealers, which still need an operator to place each pack and start the cycle.
The FP6000CS and FP8000CS are automatic L-bar sealers with a motorised centre-seal system and shrink tunnel — the film is cut and sealed around the pack in an L-shaped motion, then shrunk. The HS500, HS700, and HS800 are continuous-motion side sealers, where the pack moves through on a constant-motion sealing bar that seals along one side. Both are fully automatic; the mechanism and pack handling differ.
That comes down to seal bar size (or seal length on the HS series) and maximum pack height. Seal bar size runs from 510 x 640mm on the FP6000CS up to 710 x 840mm on the FP8000CS, and seal length runs from 500mm on the HS500 up to 820mm on the HS800. Maximum pack height spans 200mm up to 350mm across the range, depending on the model.
The HS500 Servo and HS800 Servo use a brushless servomotor to drive the sealing bar, giving a faster, more precise seal cycle than the standard HS500, HS700, and HS800. The Servo models are the better choice if your line needs to run at higher volume — the HS500 Servo is rated up to 120 packs/min against the standard HS500’s 100 packs/min.
Start with your required pack size (seal bar/seal length and max pack height), since that narrows the field first. Within the models that fit your pack, output ranges from 50 packs/min on the FP6000CS and FP8000CS up to 120 packs/min on the HS500 Servo. Talk to our team about your line speed and we’ll match you to the right model.
The FP6000CS and FP8000CS are supplied with a shrink tunnel as standard, since the L-bar sealing and shrinking are designed to run as one continuous line. The HS series side sealers can be configured with or without a tunnel depending on whether you need the film shrunk tight or just sealed. Talk to our team about the configuration that suits your setup.
This range is rated for Polyolefin and Polyethylene shrink film. We stock a full range of shrink film sized and specced to match your machine, so you’re not sourcing film from a separate supplier.
Every machine in this range runs on a 415V three-phase supply — a step up from our semi-automatic and hood shrink wrapping machines, which typically run on single-phase power. Check this against your site’s available power before committing to a fully automatic line.
Yes — every model on this page is available to rent short-term, so you can trial one on your floor before committing to a purchase. It’s also a practical option for seasonal volume spikes.
Yes to both. We stock shrink film sized and specced to match your machine, and finance and leasing options are available on every machine on this page — speak to our team during your consult and we’ll walk you through what’s available.
