About AWC Fully Automatic Overlap Bundle Wrappers
A fully automatic overlap bundle wrapper runs the full wrap and seal cycle without an operator, using a different sealing method to our standard fully automatic range: instead of a heated seal bar crimping the film ends together, the machine overlaps the leading and trailing edges of the film and heat-seals the overlap itself. There’s no seal bar in the machine at all, which gives a cleaner finish with less visible seal line and typically less film waste at the seal point.
The range spans 7 models built on the same XP 650 overlap-wrap platform: the XP 650 ALX, ARX, ASX, ARX-VS, ALX-T, ARX-T, and ALX-P. All 7 share the same 650mm film width and 380mm max pack height, and differ in transfer configuration and infeed setup to suit different production layouts and integration needs.
Output is consistent across most of the range at up to 25 packs per minute, with the XP650 ARX-VS the standout performer at up to 30ppm for lines that need the extra throughput.
Film Width is 650mm across all 7 models, with no seal bar required — the overlap-wrap mechanism handles the seal itself, which is the key difference from our standard fully automatic and fully automatic inline ranges.
Max Pack Height is consistent across all 7 models at 380mm, in line with the rest of our fully automatic bundle wrapper range.
Every model runs on a 415V three-phase supply and is available to rent short-term before you commit to a purchase. If overlap-wrap isn’t the right fit for your line, our fully automatic range uses standard seal-bar technology in a standalone machine, our fully automatic inline range builds that same seal-bar approach directly into conveyor infeed and outfeed, and our semi-automatic range is the lower-cost, operator-loaded alternative.
Every machine on this page is backed by our in-house technical team for installation, servicing, and spare parts — so you’re not left waiting on an overseas manufacturer if something needs attention.

Fully Automatic Overlap Bundle Wrapper FAQs
The machine wraps film around the bundle, then overlaps the leading and trailing edges of the film and heat-seals the overlap itself, rather than using a heated seal bar to crimp the ends together. It runs the full wrap-and-seal cycle without an operator, and shrinks the bundle tight in the same automatic cycle.
Both remove the operator from the cycle and run at automatic-grade output. The difference is the sealing method: our standard fully automatic range uses a heated seal bar to crimp the film ends together, while the overlap range seals by overlapping and heat-sealing the film itself, with no seal bar in the machine at all. That typically gives a cleaner finish with less visible seal line.
All 7 models (ALX, ARX, ASX, ARX-VS, ALX-T, ARX-T, ALX-P) share the same 650mm film width and 380mm max pack height, so the starting point is output and configuration: the XP650 ARX-VS is the fastest at up to 30ppm, while the rest of the range runs up to 25ppm. From there, the right model depends on the transfer orientation and infeed setup that best matches your production layout — our team can help you match a specific model to your line during a consult.
Six of the seven XP 650 models run up to 25 packs per minute. The XP650 ARX-VS is the standout performer at up to 30ppm for lines that need the extra throughput. Actual sustained throughput depends on your bundle size and film settings.
All 7 models handle bundles up to 380mm tall with a 650mm film width — consistent across the entire XP 650 overlap-wrap range.
All 7 models run on a 415V three-phase supply, standard for automatic-duty industrial equipment at this output level.
No — like our standard fully automatic range, these are standalone machines that don’t require a full conveyor rebuild to install. If you do need the machine built directly into upstream and downstream conveyor equipment, our fully automatic inline range is purpose-built for that.
